Visit Anna's latest Exhibition, 'COAST'

Visit my sponsored exhibition of stunning new images, 'COAST' showing at:

The Oriel Glass Wall
The Senedd
National Assembly for Wales
Cardiff Bay
Cardiff
CF99 1NA

The exhibition runs from Monday 15th March to Sunday 21st March inclusive.
The Heritage Coast of Glamorgan, west of Cardiff, has a coastline of spectacular cliffs, headlands and beaches which can be explored along the coastal paths. There is a Heritage Coast Centre at Southerndown. I feel that I've captured the rugged beauty and soul of the coast in the exhibition images. Let me know your thoughts when you see the exhibition.

God's reset button!

I returned home after Christmas and within hours went down with the worst dose of flu I've ever had. Thank you to family, friends and neighbours who helped out. It's taken me weeks to get back on track, but it's been a blessing in disguise. It forced me to stop and rest properly which gave me time to think. Sometimes, we're so busy, we don't realise that we're on a treadmill that's getting too fast.
I'm now in the process of making more changes to enhance my life and to achieve a healthy work/life balance. The bottomline is that without vibrant energy we're unable to enjoy life!

Treat yourself daily.'

Winter

Looking at my Blog right now, I can see that you'd think that I've been idle since my last posting! Nothing could be further from the truth.
December passed in a blur as there was so much happening: networking, meetings, exhibition planning, completing clients work before Christmas, admin, book -keeping, catching up with friends, enjoying a spine tingling performance of River Dance at the Bristol Hippodrome, attending the Midsomer Norton Christmas Festival, completing the Bush Craft Course and receiving certificates to acknowledge our achievements.
Of course, there were also preparations for and travelling to Wales, to celebrate Christmas with family and friends in the winter wonderland of snow and all the challenges that brought. On the Severn Crossing chunks of ice came raining down from the gantries and I got caught in the traffic jams being diverted to the Old Severn Crossing! Patience is a virtue.
The plan had been to also use the trips to do location landscape photography out in the sticks, but the thick ice made attempts at walking anywhere off a main road a hazardous pastime for life and limbs! Sitting near a wood burning stove and sharing mulled wine seemed a more appealing option.

Bushcraft Course

Running a business can be challenging, rewarding, exciting, and sometimes frustrating, especially when seemingly simple admin tasks become tedious! For example, the printer or computer dies, internet connections don't work and SO much time is wasted sorting these out.

Many people envy that I can take award winning landscape photographs at great locations in dramatic or atmospheric lighting. The reality is that those 'WOW' images are the result of numerous, often fruitless, return trips, as the best laid plans may be thwarted by inclement weather or unexpected challenges. A few weeks ago nothing seemed to be going smoothly. I was working longer hours, getting increasingly isolated and my self esteem was getting low. Something had to change. ME! I made a CHOICE to make a CHANGE and TAKE ACTION!

Have you noticed how a chain of events can be set in motion by making one decision? I decided to attend the South West Office Show in Bristol on 20th October. The weather was miserable and unbelievably wet. It would have been very easy not to have bothered, but I did go. I came home feeling inspired and empowered by some of the people I'd spoken with at the show.

One stand caught my eye with a handout saying '...join us on our FREE 10 week Aspire to Grow Course in Bushcraft'. http://www.growinthewild.webs.com/ I love the outdoors, so I signed up, turned up each Saturday and now my life is blossoming. I'm looking good and feeling great. On the course, I've met some very dedicated organisers and knowledgable instructors, joined other participants to learn survival skills, bushcraft, teamwork, leadership, rekindled forgotten skills and had great fun along the way. Life's too short, it's not a rehearsal. DO SOMETHING TODAY TO MAKE YOUR LIFE BETTER!

Enjoying Artwork

The last few weeks have flown by! Being involved with the Art Exhibition at Castle Combe was a lovely experience. I enjoyed meeting many of the visitors while helping with stewarding the exhibition one morning. Several local artists and sculptors , including Caroline Waterlow, showcased their stunning work.
